Thousands of people gathered at the Columbia Tower in Seattle today to take part in the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society's Big Climb Event.
| The bottom floor of the Columbia Tower teemed with people preparing for the climb. |
That's a total of 1,311 steps and 788 feet of vertical elevation.
Last year, this event raised more than $1.6 billion.
Throughout the climb, there were dedication posters of loved ones who had suffered from a type of Leukemia or Lymphoma.

It was a beautiful day for a wonderful event. Thank you to everyone who donated to the Big Climb!
| Climbing 69 flights of stairs is no small task, but the view from the top made it worth it. |
