Motivational phrases make the runner.
This weekend a group of my family members and I headed to Leavenworth for the Oktoberfest Half Marathon.

Leavenworth is beautiful this time of year. The leaves are turning orange and the air is crisp and cool. All around mountains reach out of the haze and into the clear, blue skies.
The scenery made the run enjoyable, as well as running with family. I finished my first half marathon in two hours and thirty minutes.

I must say I'm quite proud of myself and my family members.
